Stephen King is widely regarded as one of the best author’s to ever work within the horror genre. And over the years many of his horror novel’s / short stories have been adapted into films. Most notably, Carrie, The Shining, Children of the Corn, Silver Bullet and Pet Sematary.
With the latter being the focus of Unearthed & Untold: The Path to Pet Sematary, an insightful documentary about author Stephen King’s novel, how difficult it was to get this novel made into a film and its legacy as a film.
Content wise, Unearthed & Untold: The Path to Pet Sematary is a satisfying mix of archival footage and newly shot interviews with the majority the cast and the crew. Needless to say, this documentary is the definitive word on Pet Sematary.
Unearthed & Untold: The Path to Pet Sematary comes on a 25 GB single layer BluRay. The film is presented in a 1080 progressive widescreen. The transfer looks on par with other documentaries. With the newly shot interviews looking better, then the archival footage. And there are no issues with DNR or compression.
This release comes with one audio option, a DTS-HD 5.1 mix in English. Dialog comes through clearly and everything sounds balanced.
