Synopsis: The weekend is just moments away and a naïve catholic schoolgirl doses off, while she waits for her friend too arrive. When she awakens from her slumber, she quickly realizes that the world she once knew has been taken over by sexual deviants.
Content wise, this film is an adult adaption of Alice in Wonderland with a little bit of the Marquis De Sade thrown in for good measure. The narrative flows at a brisk pace as the protagonist moves from one moment of carnal delight to the next. From a visual stand point this film often excels, while many of its contemporaries when drifting away from storytelling and focusing primarily on the sex scenes.
And when it comes to said sex scenes this is yet another area where this film delivers the goods. With this film’s standout moment visually being a scene where the protagonist Angel laying in a coffin and the undertaker portrayed by Harry Reems (Deep Throat) is in the mood for some necrophilia. Another standout moment visually is the film’s finale where Angel gets some lesbian action in the backseat of a car and outside of the car are men in leather who all unload their money shots on the windows of the car.
From a performance stand point the entire cast are very good in their respective roles. With this film’s leading lady Angel perfectly fitting the bill of the virginal character who gets overwhelmed in a world overrun with decadent behavior. Other notable cast members include, Jamie Gillis (The Opening of Misty Beethoven) in the role of a pimp named Sex Maniac, Lisa De Leeuw (The Seductress) in the dual role of Sister Rose and Madam Rose, Eric Edwards (The Private Afternoons of Pamela Mann) in the role of a senator and Ginger Lynn (New Wave Hookers, Vice Academy) in the role of Angel’s best friend.
