Young Like it Hot: When the workers at a small town call help center are faced with the possibility of losing their jobs to computers. They concoct a plan to make perspective callers more enthusiastic about the job that they are preforming.
Instead of just throwing up some generic opening credit sequence, this film immediately draws you in with its opening credits which are inter-cut with the films opening sex scene. And from there the plot quickly establishes itself. Then there is a no stopping the narrative which moves along at brisk pace from one arousing moment to the next. Also another reason why this film works so well are the characters which populate the story at hand. Needless to say, considering just how little time most adult film from this era spend on character development. This film is a rare breed that spend just the right time building up its characters.
From a premise stand point this film could have go in so many directions and in lesser hands it could have been a rather forgettable by the numbers sex film. Fortunately in the hands of Bob Chinn this film never misses a beat and the majority of instances it far exceeds expectations. Beside the aforementioned mentioned TLC that was put into the film’s opening credits. There is a consistent cinematic vision that remains cohesive throughout as Chinn’s direction and this film rock solid cinematography ensure that no frame or moment is wasted in this film. And perhaps the most surprising asset of this film is its use of humor, which often comes at the expense of Joey Silvera’s character.
From a casting standpoint this film does not disappoint as it features several well-known performers. Anchoring the male side of the cast is Eric Edwards (The Private Afternoons of Pamela Mann) and in secondary roles are Herschel Savage (Debbie Does Dallas), Mike Horner (Snow Honeys)and Bud Lee (The Ribald Tales of Canterbury). On the other side is the female cast who are headlined by Hyapatia Lee, in her feature film debut and in secondary roles are Kay Parker (Taboo) and Shauna Grant (Suzi Superstar).
In total there are thirteen sex scenes and they all of the deliver an ample of heat. With this film’s most unusual moment being a scene where William Margold’s character calls the hotline and jerk’s. Standout sex scenes in this film include, a scene with Hyapatia Lee and Eric Edwards. In this scene Lee’s character does her best in trying to convince her boss played by Edward’s that real flesh is so much better then computers. Another standout moment includes, a scene with Shauna Grant and Joey Silvera. The setup for this scene is as follows, after spending the entire film getting injured due to bad advice from Grant’s character, Silvera’s is finally compensated when he shows up at the place where she works and she gives him the VIP treatment.
Sweet Young Foxes: A bored college freshmen and her equally bored friends spend their summer vacation partying and hooking up with boys.
Though not as lighthearted as Young Like it Hot, Sweet Young Foxesdoes have the majority of the other qualities that elevated that film to another level that very few adult films from that era where able to obtain. Differences in tone aside, Sweet Young Foxes quickly draws you in with its seductive opening credits which showcase its alluring female cast as they get dressed.
Content wise, this film is best summed up as a coming of age drama, with an emphasis on the melodramatic. The narrative is straight forward, a rebellious young woman who has just found out that she is going to have to spend her entire summer away from her boyfriend. From there all is fair game as she goes out with her friends and does whatever and whoever she wants too!
This is yet another great example of casting as this film delivers in this area and then some. Front and center in this film is Hyapatia Lee who is cast in the role of this film’s protagonist. Other notable female cast members include, Kay Parker (Sex World) in the role of Lee’s character stepmother and Cindy Carver (Sex Wars). Key male cast members include, Eric Edwards (Abigail Lesley is Back in Town / Laura’s Toys) and Ron Jeremy.
This film has a total of seven sex scenes that are all well executed and they will get your blood rising. The standout sex scenes include, a scene with Cara Lott and Ron Jeremy. In this scene Jeremy’s character has invited Lott’s character over to his place for some drinks and other hi-jinks. Lucky for him she sees right through him and tells him to cut to the chase. Another standout sex scene includes, a scene with Hyapatia Lee and Carl Lincoln. Apparently Lincoln’s character was the stud of all stud’s in high school as he slept with just about everyone, expect Lee’s character. After some brief small talk the two finally hook up and unleash years of deprived sexual desires.
Both films included for this release are presented in an anamorphic widescreen that preserves their intended aspect ratios. The transfers for each film are identical to DVD that came with Vinegar Syndromes Blu-Ray / DVD combo. That previous release gave each film has been given a brand new 2k transfer that has been sourced from the film’s original 35mm negative. Needless to say that both films look incredible.
Each film comes with one audio option, a Dolby Digital mono mix in English. Everything sounds, clean, clear and balanced.
All of the extras from that aforementioned release has been carried over for this new release.

Overall one of Vinegar Syndrome’s best releases gets a solid re-release at a more than affordable price for those who missed out on the now OOP previous release.
