Synopsis: When a fashion model Evelyn dies of a heart failure during a back street abortion. The abortionist returns her lifeless body to her house and leaves it in a bath tub. He covers his tracks hoping to deceive the authorities by making it look like she died of natural causes. later that night a killer wearing a motorcycle helmet dressed in black leather kills the abortionist by cutting out his heart. Evelyn the recently deceased model worked for the Albatross modeling agency with here former co-workers the suave photographer Carlo (Nino Castelnuovo), his sexy assistant Magda (Edwige Fenech), in charge Giselle (Amanda) and her over weight husband Maurizo (Franco Diogene). When Mario a photographer is viciously murdered by a killer dressed in black leather wearing a motorcycle helmet the others soon fear for their lives and wonder who will be next?

Giallo’s are known for their exotic and strange titles, as much as they are remembered for their violent set pieces and excessive amounts of naked flesh on display. Strip Nude for Your Killer is more then just some suggestive title thrown together by a producer. Director Andrea Bianchi (Burial Ground) has the actors do just what the title suggests ‘Strip Nude for Your Killer’ as victim after victim is murder with little or no clothes on. Strip Nude for your Killer is sleazy and has more full-frontal nudity then any Giallo I have seen so far, also lets not forget the nude handstand. Strip Nude for Your Killer is not as bad as Mario Landi’s sleaze classic Giallo a Venezia and in many ways it is similar to another Edwige Fenech Giallo The Case of The Bloody Iris.

Edwige Fenech who is often referred to as the ‘Queen of the Giallo’, she stars in this film and her trademark long brunette locks have been replaced by a cropped haircut. Berto Pisanos score is adequate and it never comes close to achieving the quality of an Ennio Morricone score. Surprisingly Andrea Bianchi’s Strip Nude for Your Killer is well crafted film that exhibits some inspired moments like, when the obese Maurizo tries to seduce one of the models Doris and he at one point threatens to hit her with a vase before she agrees to have sex with him. Only when he can get it up Doris leaves him alone and in his frustration he starts talking to a deflated blow up doll ‘You are the only one for me’, before the killers puts him out of his misery. This is a slightly better then average Giallo with mediocre acting that is saved by copious amounts of tits and ass.

While I am not going to call Strip Nude for Your Killer a masterpiece it certainly is far from one of the worst example’s the giallo genre has to offer. There are several murder scenes that rival some of the most violent giallo’s ever released and another aspect of this genre that has long been one of its strongest selling points is nudity and there is plenty of it on display in this film. Strip Nude for Your Killer’s plot may not be its strongest asset still it is reasonable though out enough to keep the action moving at a brisk pace. I have never understood how these trashy giallo’s like The Case of the Bloody Iris and Strip Nude for Your Killer are generally looked down upon because they are not as high brow like Dario Argento’s giallo’s. I like my giallo’s violent and down and dirty. Overall Strip Nude for Your Killer has enough sleaze and nudity to enchant even the most dedicated Giallo fan.

The BluRay:

Strip Nude for Your Killer comes on a 25 GB single layer BluRay. The film is presented in a 1080 progressive anamorphic widescreen. There are no problems with compression, colors and details show a marked improvement, black levels while not as strong as the rest of the transfer, they still look better than they ever have on home video. It should be noted that this transfer when it comes to grain and DNR, has the same kind of look that the majority of the Italian films that Blue Underground have released on BluRay.

This release comes with two audio options, a DTS-HD Mono mix in English and a DTS-HD Mono mix in  Italian (English subtitles have been included with the Italian audio mix). Both audio mixes are in very good shape, with the slight edge going to the Italian audio mixe, which sounds slightly fuller. This release also comes with these subtitle options, English SDH, French and Spanish.

Extras for this release include two trailers, the International trailer (3 minutes 41 seconds – anamorphic widescreen) and the Italian trailer (3 minutes 41 seconds – anamorphic widescreen), a poster & still gallery and a interview with actress Solvi Stubbing and co-writer Massimo Felisatti titled ‘Strip Nude for Your Giallo’ (11 minutes 44 seconds – anamorphic widescreen, in Italian with English subtitles). Topics discussed in the interview include, the screenplay, sex and the Giallo genre and working with Andrea Bianchi. Also Solvi Stubbing discusses how she got the role she plays in the film, how she got her big break as an actress by appearing in a series of beer commercials, the cast and what she has been up to since working on this film. Overall Strip Nude for Your Killer gets a good BluRay release from Blue Underground.
