Synopsis: Seven career criminals are hired to pull of four bank robberies in one day.

Story and structure wise The Skeleptica Effect is very similar to Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs. Both films never show the actual robberies and focus on the aftermath which follows. Also like many Tarantino films The Skeleptica Effect is told in a non linear structure.

The Skeleptica Effect’s greatest strength is its ensemble cast who are all very good in their respective roles. Visually The Skeleptica Effect sometimes overuses things like picture in picture shots and a weird effect which occurs when one of the characters that has psychotic outbursts. The plot features many twists and turns including an open ended finale. The film pacing gives characters enough time to develop without over staying the moment. Ultimately The Skeleptica Effect retreads ground that has been done to greater effect in numerous other Heist films.
