The two films included as part of this double feature release were both directed by Lawrence Talbot, a name which is obviously a pseudonym for someone who is a fan of Lon Chaney’s charter in the Wolfman.

Silk, Satin & Sex: The wealthy owner of a lingerie company invites over four new employees for get to know each other gather and each woman then proceeds to tell an erotic story about how they meet their husband.

The bulk of the narrative is made up from the flashback scenes where each character remembers how they meet their husband. With the connecting scenes serving as the glue that holds everything together.

Standout moments include, a scene where a woman goes to psychiatrist who secures her smoking habit by hypnotizing her and replacing it with smoking. Another standout moment includes, a scene where Jerry Butler and Vanessa Del Rio’s character get drunk at a party. Then they escape the party by going out on a fire escape and from there they break into an apartment. Once inside they discover they are not alone and proceed to have an orgy with the man and woman who live there.

Though the cast features many well-known adult film stars. When it comes to the sex scenes they range from good to great. With the emphasis on the latter due to the scenes retreading all to familiar ground.

Turn on with Kelly Nichols: Beautiful women demonstrate ancient techniques of sexual fulfillment.

Structurally this film follows the same blueprint used for Silk, Satin & Sex. With the only difference being, instead of group of women remembering sexual encounters. This film features a single narrator who job is connect this film’s anemic narrative together by introducing each sex scene. And the film culminates with the narrator getting in on the action.

The content explored during the sex scenes has a Kamasutra vibe going on and there are even explicit sexual drawings that appear throughout the film. And when it comes to the sex scenes though there is some diversity to each sex act. All of the scenes take place in the same room with a circular bed and the end result is actually mechanical affair that lacks the heat one that the best adult films all have.

The DVD:

Both films are given brand new 2k transfers sourced from 35mm pre-print elements and both films are presented their intended aspect ratios. Quality wise outside of some very minor print debris both films are in great shape. Colors and flesh tones look accurate and there are no issues with edge enhancement or compression. It should be noted that Turn on with Kelly Nichols has a deliberate soft focus look.

Both films each come with one audio option, a Dolby Digital mono mix in English. Both audio mixes sound very good and are in good shape. Dialog always comes through clearly and everything sounds balanced.

Extras are limited to a trailer for Silk, Satin & Sex.

Overall another strong audio / video presentation from Vinegar Syndrome.
