Synopsis: Explorers accidentally bring back a sexual parasite from the jungles located near the republic of Botswana. Year’s later a group of friends on a road trip come across an abandon building and once inside they decide to throw a party.  In the shadows of this abandon building is sexual parasite that has been dormant for many years who is accidentally awakened by one of the party goers. Will the friends survive this deadly parasite which now preys upon them?

Sexual Parasite is also known under the more salacious title Killer Pussy. This DVD release comes with a reversible cover which has the alternative title on the inside cover art which is the same as the outside cover expect for the film’s title. Sexual Parasite was directed by Takao Nakano who also wrote the screenplay for The Glamorous Life of Sachiko Hanai. The plot for Sexual Parasite starts off innocent enough with a group of friends just looking for place to hang out. These opening moments lead one to believe that this film might be a thriller or a horror when it is actually a satirical comedy on these types of horror films.

Come on now in only a matter of minutes all the female cast in either in their bra and panties or naked. These girls are far from shy and most of them have large breasts which the camera is often drawn too. The two male characters feel out of place and one has to wonder what hot girls like these would see in them. Twice during the films I did notice that two of the music cues sounded oddly familiar the first one sounded like Ennio Morricone’s main theme for Danger Diabolik and the other was from a Jess Franco film. Neither of these songs is listed in the films end credits when they most likely are lifted musical motifs.

Visually this shot on video production looks really good despite its low budget limitations. Unfortunately the films special effects do not come off good or even remotely believable with most of them looking painfully amateurish. There is plenty of gore and T&A to keep most viewers interested and best of all the film moves quickly as it just clocks in at about sixty minutes in length. The sex scenes in Sexual Parasite have a Pink Film quality to them as the camera leers over every inch of flesh. Sure many things in the film could have done better and the plot is downright silly and yet the end result is sixty minutes you will not soon forget.

The DVD:

Sexual Parasite is presented in its original full frame aspect ratio. This shot on video production looks really good with no print damage or issues with compression. Colors and details look strong throughout. Overall this transfer presents this film in its best possible condition.

One audio option is included a Dolby Digital stereo mix in Japanese with English subtitles.  The audio sounds robust, clear and evenly balanced.

Extras for this release are sparse they consist of trailers for Chinese Torture Chamber and trailers for two of Discotek’s most anticipated future releases Star of David: Beautiful Girl Hunter and Bohachi: Clan of the forgotten Eight. This release also comes with a reversible cover with alternate artwork.

Discotek gives Sexual Parasite is North American debut via their affordably priced DVD release.
