Synopsis:A Bored housewife’s working at a dating service disguised as a modeling agency use their bodies as objects of desire for the male clientele. The Sexploiters is a soft-core romp made in the mid-1960’s before hardcore adult cinema invaded the mainstream and all but made soft-core cinema obsolete. The plot is very basic every few minutes we are introduced to a new girl who struts her stuff in lingerie or even topless. The bulk of what is going on is narrated and very little dialog is actually spoken. For its time some of its themes like using a bull whipping for pleasure or housewife’s leading secret lives may have scandalous.

Now the film really shows its age and even though it is filled with a bevy of beautiful women most of the scenes lack the eroticism they once sparked. The narrative flow if one could call it that felt more like a collection of disjointed tales instead of one cohesive story. The ending was all to predicable and down right silly. Ultimately The Sexploiters fails to arouse with its mundane plot and tame scenes of erotica.

The DVD:

Sexploiters is presented in its original full frame aspect ratio. The black and white image shows signs of its age as there is noticeable print damage throughout. Also it appears that multiple film stocks were used for this film which also affects the quality of some scenes with some looking sharper and cleaner than others.

The mono soundtrack has some minor audio defects like hiss and overall it gets the job done despite lacking any reel punch to it.

Extras for this release include a audio commentary with Cinematographer C. Davis Smith and Michael J. Bowen, Retro Seduction Trailers and a collectable booklet with liner notes by Michael J. Bowen.

Like most Retro Seduction Cinema this release also comes with a wide variety of extras which are highlighted by the informative audio commentary with Cinematographer C. Davis Smith.  Retro Seduction Cinema rescues a sexploitation rarity from the past by giving it a first rate DVD release.
