The fourth installment of the Schoolgirl Report is made of up seven stories. The first story is about a girl who needs a C in math or she will fail. Not wanting to fail for a second time she sleeps with her teacher who supplies her with the answers. The second story is about a girl with an older boyfriend her parents would not approve of. They use an article in the newspaper about men posing as doctors who trick young women into having sex. The boyfriend poses as a doctor so they can have sex while her parents watch T.V. downstairs. The third story center’s around a black girl who has trouble fitting in with the rest of the girls at her school. The fourth story is about a young man who needs money to fix his parents car that he wrecked. He convinces the girls at his school to sell their bodies to help him raise the cash he needs. The fifth story revolves around four girls at a swimming pool tease an older man with their bodies. The sixth story is about a sexually repressed young woman who has impure thoughts about her older brother. The seventh story is about an eighteen year old virgin who refuses to give in to her sex addict boyfriend.
It is amazing how with each new installment of the Schoolgirl Report how they come with new and inventive stories that almost always top the previous stories in the series. One thing that is absent from the fourth volume of Schoolgirl Report are the on the street interview segments. The tongue and cheek humor is retained in most of the stories. Without a doubt the most memorable scene in this installment of the Schoolgirl Report is Christina Lindberg’s scene. She plays a young woman named Barbara who witnesses her brother making love to a woman. This experience as a voyeur unlocks feelings she was never aware of. This segment features a bizarre Freud like dream sequence. Fans of Christina Lindberg (Anita, Maid in Sweden) will thoroughly enjoy her segment. Ultimately Schoolgirl Report Volume 4: What Drives Parents to Despair is a must have film for fans of 1970’s exploitation and Christina Lindberg.
Impulse pictures present Schoolgirl Report Volume 4: What Drives Parents to Despair in an anamorphic widescreen that preserves the film’s original aspect ratio. Colors look strong throughout and flesh tones look accurate. There are noticeable nicks and specs of dirt that crop up throughout the transfer. The last thirty minutes of the film looks cleaner and sharper than the rest of the film.
This release comes with one audio mix a Dolby Digital mono mix in German. Removable English subtitles that are easy to read and understand have been included. Outside of some noticeable hiss the audio sounds clear and evenly balanced.
Just like the previous Schoolgirl Report DVD’s from Impulse Pictures there is no extra content. Overall Impulse Pictures give Schoolgirl Report Volume 4: What Drives Parents to Despair a release that is on par with their previous Schoolgirl Report DVD releases.
