This is actually a Schoolgirl Report film in name only. There is one storyline concerning an unwed mother, her lover, and her stern father. The other recurring thread is a young student who’s got the hots for the new teacher. These are the only semblances of the prior installments of the series to be found.

The time is 1974 – we have high school seniors from a girls academy dressed in bell bottoms and braless tops and traveling by bus to a chateau in the country. On the way the girls swap stories of their sexual experiences.

Most of the stories make no attempt at realism as they are fantasies born of teenage sexual frustration and curiosity. Some of the situations and much of the dialog verge on the surreal and camp simultaneously. Structurally this is similar to The First Turn On, but better scripted, directed, filmed, edited and acted. Also boasting vivid colors, a large cast of girl-next-door types, exotic locations, and lots and lots and lots of nudity.  Coming near the end of the softcore cycle there are not only scores of breasts but buns and bush on display as well.

Once the bus reaches it’s destination, the girls immediately head for the communal showers and start bathing each other. This extended and revealing shower segment makes most WIP films blush (but not Bamboo House Of Dolls). The final stretch does mostly forgo the sex fantasy comedy format and returns to the two recurring and more melodramatic ‘sex has consequences’ threads to wrap it up on a cautionary note.

The DVD:

A barebones presentation, but the film is presented widescreen anamorphic in the original uncut German release version with removable English subtitles. The print has some minor damage and a light sheen of grain but colors are good and details are fine for an unrestored print.

Animal House may still reign as king of the sex comedies, but it actually contains only very brief nudity. If that is a significant grading factor, then this feature presents it abundantly in an energetic, fun, erotic romp with a charismatic cast. These virtues make this film one of the top softcore sex comedies from any country and any period, and therefore essential viewing.
