Synopsis: A dude asks a babe to pose as his wife at a swingers club to investigate a murder, or something like that.

The meager plot is merely a framework upon which to present vignettes of various relationships culminating in the climatic swingers party. Nevertheless this film, which has nothing to do with the title, is a decidedly above average golden era porno product.

Anna Ventura was only in the adult film industry for a short time and for only a few films. She is very hot here, though her line delivery is only adequate at best and pretty laughable at worst. She pairs with Paul Thomas who was one of the more charismatic studs of the time and the relationship (and physical coupling) between these two characters is the mainstay of the film. The other standout performer is Lisa De Leeuw at her peak; sexy and trim and stealing the show.

There’s quite a bit of humor sprinkled throughout which gives it all a fun, playful vibe, helped by location filming. Nowhere is this more evident than in the Pervert scene near the beginning featuring Joey Silvera, though Michael Morrison has some funny and charming bits as well. The sex scenes do actually depict the participants in full view as much as in clinical close-up (or ‘inserts’), which is a major advantage over many sex films of the era.

The DVD:

The feature is presented from unrestored film elements in uncut anamorphic widescreen. The beginning is rather beat but then, aside from reel changes, the feature looks pretty good. Sound is good as well, making this a solid and enjoyable release from Impulse Pictures.
