Nice Knowing You is director Joe Burke’s latest short film. The plot revolves around three friends Scotty, Leah and Zach and their last night together. Scotty is leaving to move in with his parents and Zach and his girlfriend Leah are moving to Colorado. The film opens with the three friends walking down the street after having a few drinks. Zach has had one too many drinks and after throwing up in the bathroom of our soon to be vacated apartment he passes out. This leaves the opportunity for Scotty and Leah to open up with each like they had never before which leads to them discovering a deeper connection with each other that had been dormant for the bulk of their friendship.

The performances are exceptional and Joe Burke’s direction perfectly complements the story at hand. Ultimately Nice Knowing You is an emotionally involving story that draws you in with its rich dialog and well defined characters.
