Synopsis: The dead start to rise and wreak havoc on a small Midwestern town.
Hell is Full was written and directed by Steve Hudgins. And just like his previous two film’s Maniac on the Loose and GoatSucker. Hell is Full puts a unique twist on its subject matter, instead of retreading familiar ground. This time around Zombies are the main focal point and thankfully this film does not try to throw humor into the mix. The tone of the film is deeply rooted in horror and as the story evolves the bleakness of the events which are unfolding is driven home with ferocity. Structure wise the story is told in sections kind of like chapters. With each of these sections meticulously laying out each of the main characters back-story and how they go to that point of the story. One area where this film is most surprising is how each show’s how the choices that each character makes plays an integral part in their fate. Pacing wise everything moves along at a brisk enough pace that there is never a moment where things ever lag. There is a sufficient amount of gore and flesh eating. Performance wise the entire cast are all very good in their respective roles. Ultimately Hell is Full is a highly entertaining film that fans of zombie films should thoroughly enjoy.
