Graphic Sexual Horror is a no holds barred documentary about insex.com, a fetish website who’s content put them in the cross-hairs of the Department of Justice. Leading to this website being shut down.
This film does a superb job documenting the rise and fall of insex.com via those who were involved with the website like its founder Brent Scott (AKA PD) and various models who appeared on the website. All the participants come off as genuine. Making their stories all the more palatable.
Besides giving a detailed perspective on insex.com. This documentary also does a good job with Brent Scott’s back story and what lead him to start insex.com. Content wise the various clips that originally aired on the insex.com website and appear in this documentary are not for the faint of heart. When all is said and done, this documentaries greatest attribute is the way it lets the material speak for itself.
The DVD:
Synapse Films presents Graphic Sexual Horror in an anamorphic widescreen that preserves the film’s original aspect ratio. Quality wise this is a solid looking transfer as colors and flesh tones look accurate. Black levels remain strong throughout. There are no problems with compression or edge enhancement.
This release comes with one audio option, a Dolby Digital stereo mix in English. The audio is in excellent shape as everything sounds crystal clear and balanced throughout.
Extras for this release include a trailer for the film, 4 deleted scenes (which includes the film’s original ending), additional comments from the models and a 8 1/2 minute interview with screenwriter / co-director Barbara Bell who discusses the origins of this project and the difficulties she encountered making this documentary. Overall Graphic Sexual Horror gets a first rate DVD release from Synapse Films.
