Synopsis: Two scientists who developed a secret formula are kidnapped by Dragon an international crime syndicate that uses sexual interrogation techniques as the means to extract the information they desire.
The thing that immediately grabs you while watching this film is its adult themed animated opening credits. Another strength of this opening credits is the music that perfectly juxtapositions with the aforementioned animated credits.
The film’s narrative devotes a substantial amount of time to the premise. And when it comes to the sex scenes that take a back seat to more dramatic moments. Besides drama and sex, the narrative also throws in some karate and espionage for good measure.
Though there are only five sex scenes, Annette Haven is featured prominently in four of these sex scenes. With this film’s standout sex scene featuring Annette Haven with a trio of blonde hair men who have a similar look. Three of the five scenes involve Dragon’s integration methods which are rooted in sexual arousel.
Performance wise the cast are very good in their respective roles. With this film standout performance being Annette Haven (Maraschino Cherry, SexWorld) in the role of a scientist named Teresa Hardgrave. Another standout performance includes, James Hong (Chinatown, Big Trouble in Little China) in the role of Y.C. Chan, a sadistic henchmen who works for the international crime syndicate Dragon.
China Girl comes on a 25 GB single layer BluRay. The film is presented in a 1080 progressive widescreen. The transfer for this release was scanned and restored in 2k from 16mm camera negative. The source used for this transfer is in great shape and print related damage is very minimal. Colors and flesh tones look accurate, details look sharp, grain looks natural and there are no issues with DNR or compression.
This release comes with one audio option, a DTS-HD mono mix in English. There are no issues with distortion or background noise, everything sounds balanced and dialog always comes through clearly.
Extras for this release include, reversible cover art, a trailer or the film (2 minutes 16 seconds) and an audio interview with Annette Haven (39 minutes 20 seconds).
